Seoul is the center of Korean business and government. It is a vibrant city which mixes the presence of the US military, a fast paced society and very friendly people. In all our travels in Asia we feel that the Koreans are the most helpful. Yet, the cloud of the unsettled North Korean problem lies only a short distance away. Being in Seoul, other that the US military presence in Yongsan, one would hardly know of the North Korea problem. Seoul has always had good markets and we love markets. From Itaewon in Yongsan to the 24 hour Namdaemun market the markets are a bee hive of activity with bargains everywhere. Come walk with us around the city from the downtown shopping at Myeong dong to the hardware stalls on the streets.
