Hong Kong 2001
Hong Kong is a fascinating place. There are many ways
to see it. Our eyes look for technology and markets and there are
few places better than Hong Kong. Hardly on the tourist path is
the electronics market near the Sham Shui Po MTR station. Close
by is the Golden Computer Arcade. This is three stories of the computer,
software and books in shop after shop. It is a market like none
other, even in the Asia Pacific. Buyers can define the PC they want
and system builders will make it on the spot. A down side of the
center are the crowds, which are typical of much of Hong Kong. During
our visit it seemed near impossible to even get to the shops. This
photolog is a short walk around Victoria Harbor and the public technology
outlets in Hong Kong. Note that we used a Nikon Coolpix 990 for
these pictures.
